Primarily a carpenter, my name is Cameron Klise and I am an ICEC-licensed & insured tradesman and artist based out of Missoula, MT who has experience working with a variety of different materials. My residential construction experience includes framing/finish carpentry, siding, drywalling/mudding/texturizing, metalwork (including welding), flooring, some tiling, and even a little bit of concrete foundation work. I grew up with a father and grandfather who prioritized gifting tools at a young age and teaching how to fix things. I took a woodworking class in high school and later spent a summer working on a small construction crew. During college it became pretty clear that I would end up working in the trades as I eventually graduated from the University of Montana with a BFA in Studio Art and a BA in Psychology. So I made sure to emphasize in sculpture in order to learn how to further my woodworking skills and to expand upon them by becoming proficient at working with metal, concrete, relief-cast glass, and ceramics. This culminated in the ability to combine these different materials with the purpose of applying said practices to the domain of architectural design and construction. This ability to combine different materials lends itself well to being able to create custom works for clients.
